My mind reels, horror overwhelms me; the twilight I longed for
has been turned for me into trembling.”
Have you ever felt like that? Have you ever been so scared, so
full of fear that you couldn’t fall asleep; you couldn’t even close
your eyes, your heart thumping out of control, from fear? For a
long time in my life, I was in that place. The devil put fear in my
heart and I was not able to fall asleep or have peace anywhere I
went; the enemy stole my peace, killed my rest, and destroyed
my hope. But it wasn’t just fear, it was anxiety. I was constantly
in worry and disarray. But, one-day God’s peace came over me.
I wasn’t specifically praying for any fear to be gone, one day it
just left because I finally understood the power I had through
Christ. I realized that Christ lives inside me, and I was so full of
His Spirit and strengthened through Him, that there was nothing
I had to fear because He is with me. And that’s what we all must
realize. The same Holy Spirit that is given to us is the same
Spirit that raised Christ from the dead! So walk in that power,
and be strengthened in it. Do not worry for tomorrow, for the
Lord holds not only you, but also the whole universe securely in
His hands. He knows your every step and thought, and will not
let any harm come to you. Every sin is defeated at the cross;
every pain and disease is taken away by His wounds and
scourging’s; for not even death could hold Him down.
