“HEAVEN IS MY THRONE. AND EARTH IS MY FOOTSTOOL.
WHERE IS THE HOUSE THAT YOU WILL BUILD ME? BUT ON
THIS I WILL LOOK: ON HIM WHO IS POOR AND OF A
CONTRITE SPIRIT AND WHO TREMBLES AT MY WORD.”
ISAIAH 66:1-2

God wants a dwelling place. God looks to make a
home where there is a contrite spirit and
humbleness, not one full of pride. We are all
sinners, but by the grace and love of God we are
saved and have everlasting love. When we become
prideful of what God has given and done for us, He
doesn’t want to dwell in such a surrounding. The
throne of our hearts becomes a place full of our
own ego. When we come with a humble heart, our
Father sees this, because He knows our intentions
and sees right through us, and there He wants to
make a house. He can only reside where we lay
down ourselves and put away our selfish desires.
So if we want God to speak to us, give us
understanding, and make His word known, we must
put Him first and put away any other fleshly
desires. As we humble ourselves before His throne,
He will reveal Himself to us.
