“WHY DO YOU CALL ME GOOD?’ JESUS
ASKED. ONLY GOD IS TRULY GOOD.”
MARK 10:18

Do you recognize that God is always good? Or is this just
something we’ve memorized, “God is good, all the time, and all
the time, God is good.” But, He is surely, always good. When the
rain pours down, it doesn’t mean that the sun has left us
forever. No matter the bad day you have, it doesn’t mean that
God is no longer good. I have had to learn in my life, that just
because there may be a storm in my heart, it doesn’t mean that
God’s kindness and presence has left me. When I wasn’t seeing
things go my way I didn’t want to acknowledge God’s goodness
in my life, I wanted to complain and cry about why things weren’t
good. I didn’t believe that in these moments God deserved
praise, I wasn’t able to truly worship Him. I thought that maybe
God was punishing me for my past, or angry with me, so I
became angry with Him too. Our father is not like that, when you
truly repent before the Lord, it is written, “…You will tread our
sins underfoot and hurt all our iniquities into the depths of the
sea.” So know that just because life gets hard it doesn’t mean
that God’s not there, He is always there and always good! Learn
to see His goodness in your life, see the joy of life, how lucky
you are to breathe and live on this earth He created. And so, let
your heart and spirit exclaim God’s goodness, through all
situations and walks of life, though things may not seem
good, you may know that at least God is always good.
