“FOR I HAVE NOT SENT THEM,” DECLARES THE LORD, “BUT THEY PROPHESY FALSELY IN MY NAME, IN ORDER THAT I MAY DRIVE YOU OUT AND THAT YOU MAY PERISH, YOU AND THE PROPHETS WHO PROPHESY TO YOU.”
We must search our hearts and see what motive we do things with. When we toil for the kingdom of heaven, what kind of mindset do we have, because many prophets in the Bible were doing these things in search of their own glory and recognition. When we preach, when we pray, when we give, what is our mindset. Because God can see right through us, and what He desires from us is a true and genuine heart. Then we can truly be profitable for the kingdom of heaven.
When our will is aligned with His we will be doing many things for His glory, and profitably. But, this cannot be achieved if we do not seek our will and purpose in Christ. We must dive deep into the word of God, come into close communications with the Lord and look for our purpose, in Him. Then our thoughts will be His thoughts, and His plan will be written upon our hearts.
Though many things we do can seem good, but if we are not doing it aligned with God’s plans and purpose, it will be a futile mission. If we go where He never asked God will command us to depart from Him.
God has a perfect plan; God’s ways are above man’s. So if we truly want to please God, let us seek the counsel and will of Jesus, because He truly knows where we can go and what we can do for His glory. Then His church will be thriving, as each child of God is truly seeking the kingdom of Heaven.
