“WHOM HAVE I IN HEAVEN BUT YOU? AND EARTH HAS NOTHING I DESIRE BESIDES YOU. MY FLESH AND MY HEART MAY FAIL, BUT GOD IS THE STRENGTH OF MY HEART.”
There are moments in life where you feel completely alone.
Though good friends may surround you, and your family is by your side, no one seems to understand the trials you are going through. You stand desolate waiting for someone to hear the silent cry of your heart, the desperate plead and need for comfort. Yet, there is no stir.
Everyone has their problems to deal with, and sometimes it is hard to see past our struggles. But God sees our hearts in transparence.
Not only does He see your pain, He can relate to it, for He went through all our earthly trials Himself. He’s felt desolation; He’s experienced abandonment and heartache, so when you feel like you have no one, know that you have Christ.
So I also urge for us to see with eyes of heaven.
If you feel lonely, if you feel faint-hearted and tired, others around you feel that same way. So shall we not be that surge of encouragement we are longing for, can we not uplift our brothers and sisters around us?
Christ was the shepherd all lost sheep could run to and find shelter; He calls us to be that same beacon of hope and light.
I pray that we may see past ourselves, that God may grant us a heart that notices the distress of our close friends, dear family and fellow strangers.
We are all in need of love; we all crave affection and understanding, let us be that which we need most of. God put a love inside of us that brought us back from death and resurrected us into His image, let it be manifested. Let that love seep through our everyday action; let our only motive be to heal, boost, and strengthen those around us. Let our fellowship be in love, uplifting, and encouragement.
We are not alone; we have our faithful Heavenly Father, loving Christ and comforting Holy Spirit. He is also revealed through His people, our brothers and sisters around us. So, let Him also be revealed in you.
