O Lord, You are my God;
I will exalt You, I will give thanks to Your name;
For You have worked wonders,
Plans formed long ago, with perfect faithfulness.
-Isaiah 25:1
We often get overwhelmed by something at hand, something
that needs to be done or something that needs to be solved,
and forget that God is above all in every circumstance, at all
times. His plans stand, with perfect faithfulness.
So why not praise Him for His faithfulness, for who He is?
When we come to God in worship, we recognize His power
and goodness. This helps reset our own hearts and minds to
trusting God, while bringing God the worship He deserves.
Don’t know how to praise? Open the Psalms, there are many
examples of prayers and praise. Think of some times God has
done great things in your life, and thank Him for those.
If you read Psalms, as well as other prayers in the Bible, you will
notice, that often people praised God in the middle of their
problems. So as you’re praising today, don’t just thank Him for
the good He’s already done. Worship Him for who He is, and
what He can do in your life.
