P S A L M 1 1 8 : 2 2

“THE STONE WHICH THE BUILDERS REJECTED HAS BECOME THE
CHIEF CORNER STONE.”

As people, we grow up longing to be accepted. To be welcomed as one into
the arms of society, we can do things that twist our morals and fight against
our conscience. No one wants to be an outcast; so we change to fit in.
Nowadays, the name Christian is being distorted. We are seen ditching our
morals and forgetting the truth that we have set our foundation upon. We
leave behind our beliefs for fear of society. But is not the rejection of God to
be far worse? Christ calls us to conduct ourselves in a manner worthy of the
gospel, to be one with Him, not the world.

The world is chanting their chorus of lawlessness as gospels.
In order for them to live with their deceit, they push the boundaries of truth
to a distorted and unrecognizable state. So laws are being changed, what is
clearly wrong is being made right. But as this darkness grows, the light will
only become more apparent. They do not want any part of the light; they
reject holiness and hold on to sin. So they will mock and ridicule, and fight
for their immorality. And in all this chaos they will try to sway you to their
side. And if you are not for them you are against them, condemned to
rejection.

But as a youth, as ambassadors of Christ, we must not be swayed.
We must seek the Lord ever the more. We must not become blind to their
evil and accustomed to their deeds, but maintain a vision and life of
righteousness; for Christ calls us to be holy, as He is holy.
For they rejected Christ, and they will reject His people. But their rejection is
not to be feared for we have accepted Christ and live for His approval.
He was the stone that was rejected, but that same stone became the chief
cornerstone. And we are now part of that cornerstone, being fitted together,
and growing into a holy temple in the Lord.
