THE STEADFAST LOVE OF THE LORD NEVER CEASES; HIS MERCIES NEVER COME TO AN END; THEY ARE NEW EVERY MORNING; GREAT IS YOUR FAITHFULNESS.
Many of us made new years resolutions in the beginning of January. I’d like us to check back on those resolutions and see our progress. For many of us, we have forgotten the promises we made to ourselves, and the promises we made to the Lord. It seems after the month of January, resolutions and goals are forgotten in February, and life moves on as it used to. Our old habits stay the same, and we continue to stay in the same stump. Instead of growing and working upon ourselves, we end up in the same ditch we were last year. But I remind everyone and myself that you can still start today. Maybe you never even made any goals for this year, then I encourage you to make one today. Maybe you have already failed so many times you have left your promises to never be kept, but I encourage you to keep going. For God’s mercies are renewing every morning, and His patience with us does not run out. So if we made a promise to the Lord, let us keep steady in that promise. The devil will try and convince you that you have run out of luck, out of options, and out of grace; but God reminds us today that He does not give up on us. As many times as we fall, let us get up again and continue in God’s grace.
