J E R E M I A H 18 : 4
HE WAS MAKING A POT FROM THE CLAY. BUT THERE WAS
SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE POT. SO THE POTTER USED THAT
CLAY TO MAKE ANOTHER POT. WITH HIS HANDS HE SHAPED THE POT
THE WAY HE WANTED IT TO BE.
Have you surrendered yourself to the potter?
Without God, we are nothing, just dust or a lump of clay. But He
gives purpose to that clay; He is able to shape it into something
that has a use. When we let God mold us, He can actually make
something of that clay, He brings it to life and wants to make it
perfect. I wonder do we desire to be perfect? Or do we stop
letting Him work on us, once we think we are good enough. We
may look at a flaw we have, a sin that we live with, like a tiny
crack on the surface of a pot; maybe we are ok with it, but God
is not finished with us. When He sees those flaws, He wants to
fix them; He breaks that pot to remake it into a perfect one;
are we willing to go through that process?
There is purpose in the pain; there is a reason for everything He
is doing in your life. We are meant to be perfect; God cannot
pour out His Spirit if there is no vessel to receive it. What use is
a cup if there is a crack at the bottom, everything will spill out
from it. God has purpose and use for each and every one of us.
He made you, with a purpose in mind.
Let Him mold you, let Him work on you and make you into that
perfect vessel. He is our Father, and we are the work of His
hand.
