All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work. -2 Tim 3:16-17

How do we perceive that book that sits on our shelves and often collects dust? We call it the Bible. Is there reverence; is there power; is there a sense of filling; or just words. What do you receive when you read it? How often do you receive something?

I believe one mistake many Christians make when reading the word of God is reading it with an apathetic heart. Apathetic means showing or feeling no interest or concern. If we came in with the mindset that God really wrote it and said every word in the Bible; if we believed this with our hearts. I truly believe it would change the way we read the Bible.

John Calvin said “We owe to the scripture the same reverence which we owe to God, because it has proceeded from Him alone, and nothing of man mixed with it.” As a youth lets not just read to read but to hear God speak out of His own mouth to our hearts.
