P R O V E R B S   1 6 : 1 ; 3

“TO HUMANS BELONG THE PLANS OF THE HEART, BUT FROM THE LORD COMES THE PROPER ANSWER OF THE TONGUE; COMMIT TO THE LORD WHATEVER YOU DO, AND HE WILL ESTABLISH YOUR PLANS.”

It started with a dream. A vision to better the future, a hope for a better life, a concept of prosperity, that someday you may not just see it, but live it.

We all have those dreams deep down in our hearts, to achieve something, to get through something, or to finally make it past a certain trial in complete victory. They are whispered softly in our prayers, and carried safely in our minds possession. Sometimes they seem utterly impossible, and ever attainable, but Christ hears them loud and clear though you may not even have the courage to say it out loud. You pray for a new job, you yearn for a reawakening, you desire an unquenchable thirst for God, you beg for freedom from sin, you ask for peace, you appeal for love, and God hears it all. Though you may even regard it as the smallest, most insignificant favor, your Father sees it as His first priority.

And while there is hope, there is light, and with light there is a vision and then there can be a way, even through murkiest waters. We may not be able to see how these things may come to be, or even know the blueprints to His plan but rest assured that they are in motion and He is taking action. Though in return you may only hear silence and see a faint light in the distance, hold on to that light dearly and don’t let go of that hope for it is your anchor through the storms of doubt. The enemy will stir storms, he will tempt you to vexation and he will prod you to surrender and declare hopelessness.

As your Father stands up for you dreams, stand up in your faith in Him. When He tells you to come, when He calls you onto the water, do not hesitate to let Him guide you. Make your faith unwavering and constant, and your allegiance to Him assured. For Christ is for you, not against you, and He is unwavering in you. You can depend on Him, you can hope in Him and trust that it will come to pass.
