“SO GOD CREATED MANKIND IN HIS OWN IMAGE, IN
THE IMAGE OF GOD HE CREATED THEM; MAKLE AND
FEMALE HE CREATED THEM. GENESIS 1:27

Anytime my friends and I are feeling a little less confident, we’ll
quote Psalm 139:14, “I praise you for I am fearfully and
wonderfully made.” Sometimes we are serious and other times
it’s in a joking manner. But that always brings up the question:

do I truly believe that?

The creator of the universe created me, He formed me in my
mother’s womb; how could I not believe it? We live in a high tech
society where social media posts make our life seem less than
mediocre. We have a tendency to compare ourselves to others,
leaving us feeling like we are not good enough. The great but
not so great thing about social media is that people only post
the highest reel of their lives. Most of the time it’s heightened,
and we know it, but we let ourselves “go there”. What I love so
much about the God that I serve, is that He loves every part of
me. He loves the broken parts of me, He loves the confused
parts of me, He loves all of me; that is a lot of love. God saved
us by His grace, through faith, its not something that we have
done, its his gift to us (Ephesians 2:8). He gives us purpose; in
Jeremiah 29:11 He lets us know that He has great plans for us,
plans to prosper us and to protect us. How can we, knowing all
of this, not believe that we are gems in God’s eyes! We belong
to the God of lights, we are valued and we are so loved. I want
to encourage everyone to pause, and envision yourself through
God’s eyes, I promise you—it’s a beautiful sight!
